SHARP UPDATE
March/April 2010
SHARP Update is a regular publication of the Foundation for Blind Children, 1235 E. Harmont Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85020
Spring is in the air!
Can you believe it’s almost time for spring break? I can’t! Have you been sticking to your new year’s resolutions, whatever they may be? Maybe you set a goal for yourself to work towards. If we at SHARP can help out with that, let us know! Our hopes are that SHARP will help you to build skills and confidence to try new things!
I also would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that it is really important that you sign up by the deadlines. I am not in the office everyday and I usually plan everything at least a week ahead of time. Sign up deadlines are always listed several places in the SHARP update as well as on the SHARP line message. You can sign-up by calling the SHARP line or by emailing SHARP. Not only does this help me to know how many tickets or supplies to buy, it helps the drivers know who they are picking up and believe it or not it helps you too! “How” you ask, because it is teaching you to be responsible for yourself and also how to use an automated phone system, which is very important when you’re an adult. If you don’t remember how directions are inside! - Cody
