Methods of Giving

Because of the special services the Foundation for Blind Children provides to the community, the State of Arizona has provided state tax credits that benefit the FBC directly.

The simplest and most direct type of charitable gift is outright cash. Your donation can be applied to our program services, the building fund, and the endowment fund.
You may also designate your United Way donation to the Foundation for Blind Children by specifying our organization code is 1433.
The needs at FBC vary widely from program to program. Occasionally gifts of personal property, office equipment, even works of art can be extremely beneficial to the foundation. The tax deduction depends on the standard of 'related use'. To find out more, please call Barbra Smith at 602.331.1470 Ext. 102.

The Foundation also accepts donations of vehicles which may earn you a potential tax deduction. To find out more, please call Barbra Smith at 602.331.1470, Ext. 102.

You can designate Foundation for Blind Children as a beneficiary in your estate plans through your trust or will document. You can direct FBC to receive a specific gift, a specified dollar amount or a residual amount of your estate. Gifts under wills enable individuals to make significant gifts that they may not have been able to make during their lifetime.
If you're looking to send unfinished quilts, quilt tops, finished squares or fabric/batting donation, please send them directly to:

Such gifts generate a double tax benefit. In addition to receiving an income tax deduction for the full, fair market value of the property, the donor escapes any potential tax on the capital-gain element in the gifted property. The proceeds of the gift can be designated as an outright cash gift.
To find out more, please call Barbra Smith at 602.331.1470, Ext. 102.

Foundation for Blind Children would not be able to provide the services we do without the generous support of our donors. We appreciate and encourage any size gift, from $1 to $1 Million.

The Foundation for Blind Children is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
