FBC Annual Staff Retreat –

March 2007

FBC staff members took two days out of their busy schedules on March 8th and 9th to participate in the annual FBC Staff Retreat held at SRP’s Pera Club in Tempe. In addition to listening to upbeat and informative presentations by FBC board member Dan Bailey and motivational speaker Ian Greig, staff congratulated this year’s Employees of the Year, Gina Lipko and Inge Durre.

Sandra Stirnweis and the Orientation & Mobility staff presented an enriching, hands-on workshop on the basics of O & M, covering the basics of sighted guides and long cane travel.

After a morning of departmental planning and goal-setting, the staff surprised Chris Tompkins, who is retiring in September, with a “Thank You” slide presentation created by preschool teacher, Christine Griffiin.

Next year’s retreat is slated for March 6th and 7th.
