Assistive Technology Specialist
Assistive Technology Instructor
Term: Full Time
Description:
This position is part of our Assistive Technology Center and provides instruction in the area of assistive technology for our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Instructs Technology Center clients in the use of assistive and general market software and hardware.

Supports and trains FBC staff in the use of computer systems and software.

Assists in the Development of training material, (handouts etc.) for clients and staff training sessions.

Assists in the development of curriculum

Assures all computers used by clients are kept in optimal running condition by; performing regular testing, configuring , reporting problems to IT staff, and following up to make sure repairs are completed

Assists in assistive and general technology evaluation projects

Participates in client staffings and other meetings as needed
-
Writes all reports/letters needed by the program manager and/or client referral organization outlining client training sessions activity and client progress.

Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college in the computer science field and one year of experience, or two years experience in training individuals in the use of a variety of general and assistive technology software and hardware products

Excellent oral and written communications skills
