The Information We Collect This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on our www.seeitourway.org website.
On some pages, you may register for services or events, donate or request materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are: Name, Address, Email address, Phone Number. On some pages, you may submit information about other people such as for referrals. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are: Name , Address , Phone Number, general information needed to follow up on the service needed for the referral. The pages used to collect such information are done via SSL connections in order to protect your information. The ‘Join our E-Mail list’ is not done via SSL as the email address is the only item collected via a third-party program, Constant Contact, described further in the following section.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself or others when requesting services/making a referral to follow up for the person indicated. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to follow-up and provide services. The collected information will not be sold, or used outside of the Foundation for Blind Children unless you have signed a release for additional use as described in the HIPAA Privacy Policy which you would have also received with signing the release. FBC uses aggregate data in reporting statistics for grant applications, and no personally identifying information is used in these cases. You may opt to join our email list on the home page. It is managed through Constant Contact (constantcontact.com) and provides a process to remove yourself from the list at any time. Their privacy statement may be found at: Constant Contact Privacy Policy.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to track our site traffic volume. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
