Technology Training

Training is available on a one-on-one basis. Training is usually provided in the Technology Center at the Foundation for Blind Children. However, in some situations, it can be provided at your home or employment setting. We provide training in every category of assistive technology for the blind and visually impaired and on a wide range of products within each category. Additionally, we provide training on the use of many general software packages in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, the Internet, E-mail etc. Our expert training staff is the most experienced in the field within the state of Arizona. We have experience training people ranging in age from 6 to 80 plus. Our corporate and education training rate is $80.00 per hour. The cost of training to individuals who are paying on their own ranges from $5.00 to $40.00 per hour. The actual amount charged to these individuals is based on a household income sliding scale .
